The Clay Point Cloud Material option provides a simplified, uniform appearance for all point clouds in a scene, making it easier to focus on their shape and density distribution without distracting colors or textures. It is an ideal tool for visualizing and analyzing point cloud data, helping to document and interpret the geometry of existing buildings, environments, or other real-world objects.
Global Clay Render Settings
When enabled, the Clay Render settings apply globally to all point clouds in the scene, overriding their original coloring. To access clay render settings:
- Open the Settings Window.
- Navigate to Graphics > Clay Render > Point Cloud.
Here, you can adjust the following options:
Enable
This setting toggles clay rendering on or off for point clouds in the scene. When enabled, it overrides original colors or classifications assigned to the points but does not affect point clouds visualized in X-Ray mode.
Base Color
This defines the uniform color applied to the clay-rendered point clouds.
