To start translating, rotating, or scaling an object in NUBIGON, select it from the Object List, or with ALT+left-click from the viewport, and follow the steps below.
Manipulators
Translation
Click the translation icon on the toolbar to display the translation manipulator.
- Left-click & drag the center handle to move selected objects in the camera plane.
- Left-click & drag a handle (red, green, or blue) to move selected objects on a single axis.
Rotation
Click the rotation icon on the toolbar to display the rotation manipulator.
- Left-click & drag the center to rotate selected objects in three axes.
- Left-click & drag an inner ring (red, green, or blue) to rotate selected objects on a single axis.
- Left-click & drag the outer ring to rotate selected objects around the view axis.
Scaling
Click the scaling icon on the toolbar to display the scaling manipulator.
- Left-click & drag the center box to scale selected objects uniformly.
- Left-click & drag a handle (red, green, or blue) to scale selected objects on a single axis.
Left-click a handle to make it active (yellow). Middle-click anywhere on the viewport and drag to transform along the active handle.
Selection Tool
Click the selection icon on the toolbar to disable the display of manipulators.
Transform Attributes
Transformation values of a selected object can be viewed and changed in the Transform Attributes group of the Object Inspector.
Translate: Specifies translation (Translate X, Y, and Z) values of an object in world space.
Rotate: Specifies rotation (Rotate X, Y, and Z) values of an object in world space.
Scale: Specifies scale (Scale X, Y, and Z) values of an object in local space.
